BYERS WOODS
Byers Woods is a 130-acre Ashland County Park where visitors will find varied habitats and great opportunities to enjoy nature. Recreation activities include hiking, fishing, and horseback riding. Four main trails traverse the Park and the adjacent Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center: Prairie Trail, Woods Trail, Career Loop Trail, and Pine Loop Trail. In addition, a Bluebird Trail runs throughout the park.

KILLBUCK MARSH WILDLIFE AREA
This 5,671-acre wildlife area is situated in northeastern Ohio in portions of Wayne and Holmes counties. This complex is Ohio’s largest remaining marshland outside of the Lake Erie region. A great variety of nesting and migrant birds utilize the area. Of particular interest is the spring migration of waterfowl and songbirds.
